Whenever an email from Animal Victory appears in my inbox, I open it with a mixture of dread and gratitude. Dread, because this amazing group of dedicated activists somehow manages to find the most egregious cases of animal abuse from the darkest underbelly of human depravity, and exposes them to the light of justice. It is unimaginably difficult to read about the things they uncover if you love animals as much as I do; since I know they love animals every bit as much (if not more), I can’t even imagine how difficult it is for them to seek out these monsters and document the horrors they inflict on these innocent, sentient beings. The gratitude is because I am grateful beyond words that groups like Animal Victory exist, who are devoted to protecting the most helpless and voiceless among us. I make it a point to sign every petition and make every call if needed. It’s the least I can to, considering how hard they work doing something so very painful. They deserve to be top rated.
