Update February 1, 2024

We are sharing pictures and videos of food being sent to Turkey. This effort is concentrated in the western region of Turkey, where many dogs were displaced from earthquake-affected areas. Our U.S. affiliate recently returned from a trip there, bringing back a few of these dogs. The location is managed by a friend of our affiliate. Primarily, they take in Golden Retrievers, some mixed breeds, and small dogs, as well as cats. Currently, there are approximately 200 dogs at this location. The staff live on-site, caring for all the dogs while trying to find them new homes. The last photo features our friend Nes at Istanbul airport, bringing Golden Retrievers from this location. These dogs are survivors of the recent earthquake. Weather conditions have been challenging there, with frequent rain and snow, causing delays in taking pictures until a dry day was available.

Below are photos from another location in western Turkey our affiliate Nes sent to us:
Nes writes:
“The older lady in the picture American, ( her name is Rosemary) she has been living in Turkey since years. She lives close to summer vacation spot called Bodrum, end of summer vacationer’s dump their dogs, and Rosemary takes them if she can and tries to find homes. I know her personally , wonderful animal lover, she has probably around 60 dogs.
Her main donor Mica Ertekun ( Famous Music guy Ahmet Ertekun’s wife) died recently , Mica was sending her food monthly , since she died , Rosemary having very hard time finding food. She is just herself , so I already send her $300 worth food but i will send more.
I feel bad for her, she has no supportShe sent me pictures but no food picture due to storms, once weather calms down , she will send more.”If you would like to donate one time or monthly to help her continue to feed her dogs, please do so here.

Update April 19, 2023

Feeding Starving Cats And Dogs From The Earthquakes

Dear Supporters,

THANK YOU!  Since our last update, you have continued to help us feed hundreds of starving animals during this unthinkable time. We have now purchased close to 1000 bags of food and thousands of dollars for veterinarian care because of your donations.💕

We have been fortunate to work with Nes Gutman born and raised in Istanbul and her organization Angels Bark. We were also able to assist Ernestos Sanctuary situated in the Northwestern area of Syria.

We have included more photos and videos of the volunteers in action. You can read about the entire project and view all of our photos and videos here.

We are still working directly with a local pet supply store to purchase food for $21.00 a bag, wholesale cost. The volunteers then pick up and deliver the food.
Remember your donation is tax-deductible.

Please open your heart!❤ We will continue our mission to connect with the volunteers to feed them, as long as we receive donations to buy the food.

Volunteers in action.

We have been sending food to this location. It is outside Hatay on the way to the mountains and very hard to get there.

Two people are taking care of them. Many more volunteers used to bring food regularly before the earthquake, but with the scarcity of supplies, nothing comes in anymore, just what we send.

This woman still won’t leave the earthquake area because of the cats and some dogs in the area that she feeds.

Our team of volunteers will continue to feed in as many remote areas as possible with your donations.

We are also helping to transport dogs and cats from the wreckage to an animal hospital in Istanbul.

As little as $2.00 will help with her care. 🙏

Though the situation is still overwhelming, volunteers are continuing to drive to feed the dogs and cats daily.
This is only possible because of YOU.

Please stand with us. Don’t turn your back on them.
We are at the end of our fund for food. We will continue to feed and rescue with your help.
Can you, will you, help us buy more food for the starving dogs and cats?🙏💗

We appreciate and need any help you can provide.🙏🙏🙏
We will continue to post updates when we have them.
Thank you over and again!

Update February 24, 2023

476 bags of food and counting!
Thanks to you!

Dear Supporters,

THANK YOU! Your response to our request for food has helped feed hundreds of starving animals during this very sad, horrific time. Close to 500 bags of food have been purchased. 💕

We have included photos and videos of the volunteers in action. I urge you to watch our videos and continue to help buy food if you can. Your donation is tax-deductible.

Sadly we cannot send donations directly to volunteers in Turkey because there is nothing left to buy. We are working directly with a local pet supply store to purchase food for $21.00 a bag, wholesale cost. The volunteers then pick up and deliver the food.

Please open your heart!❤ We will continue our mission to connect with the volunteers to feed them, as long as we receive donations to buy the food.

Thank you.🙏

This woman won’t leave the earthquake area because of the cats and some dogs in the area that she feeds.

The volunteers pick up the food directly with the money raised, then drive and distribute it to the rural areas.

This is only possible because of YOU.

We have also now made a connection in Syria with volunteers who will help feed dogs and cats.

Although many animals have died, those who have survived have no food or water and they are starving.

Please stand with us. Don’t turn your back on them.
We are almost out of funds for food.
Can you help us buy more food for the starving dogs and cats?🙏💗

We appreciate and need any help you can provide.🙏🙏🙏

We will continue to post updates when we have them.
Thank you over and again!

Dear Supporters,

Animal Victory is connected with some rescue friends in Turkiye. (Turkey) We are told countless cats and dogs have been left alone, hurt, hungry, and desperate for help.

These volunteers live in Istanbul and are buying pet food, driving toward earthquake-affected areas, and feeding the strays. ❤

We are also connected with a group of wonderful people in the city of Adana who are also buying dog and cat food with their own money, driving around to find strays and feed them.

So many have been affected by this disaster but there is not enough money to buy food and feed them all. 😢

While there is not much we can do from so far away, we can certainly help them by sending food. The volunteers have found a local food supply store in the city of Adana that will sell the food at wholesale prices. They will buy food directly with the money raised, pick it up, drive and distribute it.

A 15kg, (33 pounds) bag of pet food will cost $21.00.

If you would like to donate to buy food, please do so here.
As little as $2.00 will help. 🙏
Please click the red button below if you can help.

We have been told locals feed stray dogs and cats.
Many have now died or been injured.

The animals that have survived have no food or water.
They are starving.

How do we turn our backs on them?
Can you help us buy bags of food for the starving dogs and cats?

PLEASE open your hearts to feed the animals.
We have volunteers waiting to buy food but they need your help.
🙏💗

We appreciate and need any help you can provide.
We will post updates when we have them.
