Active from 1840 to 1873. The soup ladle has reeded edges. The ladle is hallmarked with the maker's mark anchor IE, a Minerva head, the first grade hallmark and the year letter S for 1852. Finally, the retailer's mark of Benten & Zonen is stamped. Benten & Zonen in Amsterdam was the continuation of the company originally founded by cashier and goldsmith Johannes Wouterus
