The 3 pin connector plugs into your vehicle's diagnostic socket, while the 16 pin female connector attaches to your diagnostic scanner. SYM mopeds and scooters lack a built in OBD2 port. This adapter cable maps the 3 pin signal pattern from the diagnostic connector to the corresponding pin positions on the OBD2 connector,
