Low-cost spay and neuter for animals living on the streets. This program is fundamental in addressing the core issue of animal abuse.
“Begging for Help” is a distinctive funding initiative that provides vital financial assistance for low-cost spay and neuter services. These services are primarily aimed at smaller groups and individuals within the United States, who often tap into their personal resources to control the population within their community.
In the U.S., an estimated 70 million dogs and cats are homeless, yet only a fraction ever reach shelters. Globally, the number of stray animals is in the hundreds of millions. Unaltered dogs and cats reproduce at staggering rates, fueling overcrowded shelters, mass euthanasia, and widespread neglect and abuse.
Funding and expanding spay/neuter and Trap–Neuter–Return (TNR) programs is the fastest way to stop this crisis. These programs are largely volunteer-led and chronically underfunded. With federal funding or a national TNR law, we could immediately eliminate up to 50% of the breeding that drives animal suffering. This problem is solvable—if it is treated as a national priority.
